Graphology is Handwriting Analysis. Next question? Oh, what is Handwriting Analysis? Well, it's one of the most fascinating ways to determine a person's character traits. It is a very little understood 'scientific art' and books in Graphology are still to be found in the 'occult' section in libraries and bookshops. The very word 'occult ' would seem to deem Graphology as 'black magic' or 'sorcery' but if you were to look up the word in the dictionary, it simply means 'hidden knowledge' and who is to say that 'hidden knowledge' is supernatural or magical.
I therefore embrace my role as Graphologist as one who tries to de-mystify the subject by explaining it in a way that is readily understood.
It is a science because it uses quite strict rules and measurements, mostly all of which mean the same to all Graphologists regardless of which method they were taught. There are, of course, exceptions but generally speaking several different Handwriting Analysts would come up with very similar analyses of the same writing.
I'll start with the can'ts (or very difficults)
It is very difficult to tell the sex of the writer. Not quite so difficult for me as most of my work is face-to-face! This is because we all have a few opposite- sex traits - some more than others. The man who is in touch with his feminine side will display some feminine handwriting traits and the woman who identifies with her masculine side alot will, likewise, display masculine characteristics in her script. It is, therefore, important to know the gender of the writer before attempting an analysis.
And so, Graphology is a vast and fascinating subject which, once dabbled in, can very soon become a passion. Should you wish to know more about any aspect of Handwriting Analysis, please do drop me an email. graphostarjan@yahoo.co.uk
