A BIT ABOUT ME
Hi, my name is Jan Harrison and I love welcoming people to the fascinating world of Graphology.
It all started over twenty years ago when I visited my local library and headed for the 'occult' section. I loved books on astrology and all things 'spiritual' and these books were deemed to be 'occult' - dealing in the supernatural and things of a 'magical' nature... The book on Graphology virtually jumped out at me and I took it home and devoured it. I quickly realised there was nothing 'occult' about the subject and I spent the next couple of years studying the subject with the British Institute of Graphologists.
I then decided I should try giving talks to WI's and other such organisations and this I did for another couple of years, gaining in knowledge and confidence all the time. One day I decided that I could perhaps lecture on cruise ships, so I sent my details off to a few cruise companies. I was offered the position of Guest Lecturer by Direct Cruises and Thomson Cruises straight away and over the next fifteen months , I did seven cruises - the last one being my very last one! It was quite literally 'the cruise from hell' and could only have ended in the way that it did by my mother and I 'jumping' ship. I vowed there and then to do all future speaking engagements with my feet on good old terra firma. It was, however, the most exciting fifteen months of my life as a Graphologist.
I spent the next few years doing after-dinner entertainment, ladies luncheon clubs, corporate events, private parties and exhibitions, my largest client being Saatchi and Saatchi.
My first couple of TV appearances were on Granada Breeze's Psychic Livetime, analysing doodles. I was also the resident Graphologist on BBC Radio Northampton for a few years and it worked amazingly well on the radio.
Over the years I have had numerous articles and features published in a wide variety of publications and having written a 'column' in a local 'glossie' for a couple of years, I would love the opportunity to do the same for a 'national'.
A few years ago, after having a double page spread in a national newspaper, I was invited on to the Richard and Judy Show. This was a real highlight for me and when I was asked to analyse the judges handwriting on Strictly Dance Fever on Three shortly after, I jumped at the chance.
I very much specialise in the 'lighter' side of Graphology and my particular 'forte' is giving amazingly accurate, on-the-spot analyses which are so popular at exhibitions and other such events. However, I have now branched out into the therapeutic side of Handwriting Analysis and I have a shiny new all singing, all dancing website www.empowerwriteing.co.uk so please do take a look.
I'm amazed at how many people still don't know the meaning of the word Graphology and I am just making it my mission to spread the word about Handwriting Analysis. I want to de-mystify the whole subject and take the 'occult' connection away from it. I am actually interested in many 'occult' subjects anyway but Graphology is best classed as a 'scientific art' which anyone can learn how to do....so, I invite you to take a peek into the fascinating world of Graphology and if you have any questions, just go to my Contact Page and get in touch.
